REC Solar is actively looking for a talented Sales Coordinator.
As a Sales Coordinator, you will be managing solar project deal flow from the initial request for a preliminary design or proposal through the estimating, bid, contracting and booking of the deal. You will support several outside sales consultants and are the key to making sure deals move through internal channels to booking as quickly as possible. The sales team will depend on you to be an expert on the entire sales process including updating SalesForce to trigger work by estimating, design, legal, finance and project management. You will be the critical nexus of each project and will help your people meet their sales goals.
This position will be located at our corporate headquarters in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California.
Our ideal candidate will
Work as the main point of contact with several outside sales consultants for all internal deliverables
From order inception through booking and hand-off to construction.
Support the lead review process, including RFP/RFQ review and summary for stakeholders.
Manage all aspects of preliminary and final proposal development, including but not limited to coordination, writing, editing, maintenance, and document assembly.
Complete prequalification/qualification documents as required.
Combine / edit content from subcontractors/partners into a cohesive document, including research as needed to accurately represent the team-at-large.
Create exhibits displaying proposed project details and graphics in a professional manner, including photos and graphics to provide customized bid responses.
Communicate with and provide feedback to Sales Team and subject matter experts across the organization to develop highly-specific proposals that meet individual customer needs.
Communicate project status to appropriate stakeholders as needed and via CRM system for reporting.
Maintain Proposal Library containing project experience, references, locations, proposal boilerplate language, etc.
Coordinate with Legal department (contracts, NDAs), bonding company, and insurance company for review and input as required to complete and submit proposals.
What youll need in order to succeed
Positive attitude, strong ability to communicate across departments and drive to get the deal done.
Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience in sales coordination and proposal writing ideally within a business to business environment.
Marketing and/or administrative engineering/construction experience extremely helpful.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail a MUST!
Ability to multi-task, work under tight deadlines, with strong project management, organizational and coordination skills.
Ability to strategize, research, and compile necessary data.
Highly analytical, with ability to troubleshoot and work with complex logic.
Demonstrated experience in responding to private, public, and/or federal RFPs, RFIs and task order requests from inception to delivery, for various markets.
Experience in solar, construction, design, or an engineering-related industry a plus.
Expert-level abilities in Microsoft Office Professional, particularly MS Word.
Experience with SalesForce, MS Project and design software a plus
